Role: SAP MDG Business Partner Functional Consultant
Location: Seattle, WA (Remote)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience: 10 18 years
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 10+ years of overall SAP experience
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP MDG-BP Functional experience
- Minimum 2 full lifecycle SAP MDG implementations with MDG-BP
- Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA Business Partner architecture
- Strong expertise in Business Partner Governance
- Hands-on experience with Customer and Supplier Master Data
- Strong knowledge of MDG Data Models and Change Request Types
- Hands-on experience with BRF+ Rules Framework
- Experience with Workflow Configuration
- Strong experience with Data Replication Framework (DRF)
- Experience with Data Quality and Governance Processes
- Experience integrating MDG with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, CRM, Ariba, and non-SAP systems
- Strong understanding of Master Data Governance best practices
- Experience designing and configuring SAP MDG-BP solutions for Business Partner, Customer, and Supplier master data
- Experience configuring data models, entity types, UI configurations, and governance workflows
- Experience implementing validation, derivation, and duplicate check rules
- Experience configuring and supporting Business Partner change request processes
- Experience establishing governance policies and approval workflows
- Experience configuring and supporting DRF replication processes
- Knowledge of IDoc, SOA, CPI, and API integrations
- Experience managing BP synchronization between SAP and external applications
- Experience conducting workshops and requirements-gathering sessions
- Ability to translate business requirements into Functional Specification Documents (FSDs)
- Experience with fit-gap analysis and solution design
- Experience developing SIT and UAT test scenarios
- Experience supporting data migration, cutover planning, go-live, and hypercare
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP MDG Certification
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Transformation programs
- Exposure to SAP Data Migration projects
- Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Experience with SAP Customer/Vendor Integration (CVI)
- Familiarity with SAP Information Steward and SAP Data Services (BODS)
- Aerospace, Manufacturing, Utilities, or Automotive industry experience
- Experience leading onsite/offshore teams
- Agile/Scrum project delivery experience
- Experience mentoring junior consultants and coordinating cross-functional teams
- Strong leadership and facilitation skills
- Experience working with both shop-floor and executive-level stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and configure SAP MDG-BP solutions for Business Partner, Customer, and Supplier master data
- Configure data models, entity types, UI configurations, and governance workflows
- Define validation, derivation, and duplicate-check rules
- Configure and support Business Partner change request processes
- Establish governance policies and approval workflows
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance across enterprise systems
- Collaborate with Data Stewards and Business Process Owners
- Configure and support DRF replication processes
- Work with technical teams on IDoc, SOA, CPI, and API integrations
- Manage BP synchronization between SAP and external applications
- Conduct business workshops and requirements gathering
- Develop Functional Specification Documents and support fit-gap analysis
- Develop SIT/UAT scenarios and support testing
- Support data migration, cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities
- Provide post-production support and continuous improvement
- Mentor junior consultants and coordinate cross-functional teams
